Condition report

Glaze is bright with the expected fine crazing network of a 16th-century tin-glazed body. A professionally restored rim chip, approximately 1 inch in length, is visible under UV light but well matched under normal viewing. Istoriato painted decoration retains strong, legible color throughout the central well. Footring shows honest wear consistent with age and use. No structural cracks are present.

Provenance

Formerly in an Italian noble family collection, sold through a London specialist dealer in the early 1990s. Privately held in the United States since acquisition.
